Abstract: Overweight and obesity have been a major health problem in the world. Social contagion is an important factor in the development of obesity, and its identification and control may lead to effective planning in intervening in the obesity epidemic. In this paper, we propose a model that approaches obesity from a mathematical point of view, through epidemiological models, to describe the spread of the obesity as a contagious disease.
